When I initially named my business “Nutrition for Recovery”, I had recovery from substance abuse in mind. The more I studied and learned, the more I realized that everyone is in recovery from something!
Nutrition was a big part of my recovery from the hardships of my past. While in school, I realized that eating well is the highest form of self-care. We HAVE to eat. We ARE what we eat. We are literally made up of food. No matter what anyone is struggling with, it can be made better with proper nourishment… beginning with feeding the brain, so we can cope with life’s stress!
I want my clients to stop fighting with food and with themselves and start seeing food for what it is, a necessary part of life meant to be enjoyed!
I live in Northern California with my 3 children and 2 dogs. I’m a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and have a BS in Business-Economics. I hold a Nutrition Consultant Certificate (NC) from Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts. I’m currently completing my Certification for Recovery Nutrition Coaching (CRNC) through the Academy for Addiction and Mental Health Nutrition. I've enjoyed endurance sport competition for over 20 years, including triathlon racing, running and cycling events and open water swimming. I also enjoy snowboarding and yoga. Yet, my most important accomplishment is being a MOM.
I love sharing my passion for health and the beautiful life that comes with being properly nourished from real food with anyone who wants to change their life!
